the sloppy duck

I get scared that all the little thoughts and memories and tidbits that make me smile and laugh will be forgotten, and nobody will ever know about them. So I'll put them here. And maybe others can pretend like they get it.

ooops

I was so excited about Seinfeld showing on Hulu plus that I forgot bb17 premiered. Then I turned it on and saw Caleb 2.0….ugh

Team Zonny getting ready for the Amazing Race <3

I want this to happen so Frankie and Caleb can bitch and moan in their unpopularity.

What does it tell you about this season of big brother that when you go in the tag, you only see gifs and posts about AFP? I scrolled for about ten minutes and have yet to see anything about Derrick and Cody lol.

Frustrated with my job, broke as shit, no idea how to pay my tuition, my car has had a flat tire for over a month now and I can’t even fcking scrape together $300 to fix it despite the fact that I bust my ass for my kids, society craps on my career, and in general just fed the hell up with everything and I only want to hear nice things.

“Frankie isn’t a competition beast”

Oh so your favourite won BOTB all by his or herself too?

Donny won in the dark while Christine was helping the other team.

I’ve never been a fan of her music, but I can respect her as a woman. Love it.

I’ll probably get he’ll for this, but I really don’t get why people call Victoria a queen of this season. When we had fierce competitors like Brittany, Nicole, and Amber, why have people been about Victoria? Am I missing something?

Big Brother isn’t all about competition…

This is where I’ll disagree with you. You say that Victorias social game is what kept her from getting evicted week after week, but at the end of the day she was never a serious target. I don’t believe that she ever had to campaign to get off the block because nobody really cared if she left or not. Nobody was targeting her, but if the plan to get a target out didn’t work, nobody would really care. As far as people talking badly about her…. All the females were shit talked this summer, it was disgusting. I’ll agree with you that Victoria probably had it the worst, but let’s not forget about all of the awful things said about Amber and Brittany. I guess it’s a matter of personal preference. With gameplay, I like to see people who aren’t afraid to go out in a blaze of glory. I like a good social game with competition wins. That’s why I loved Brittany. I really wish she had stayed logger because I think she could have changed things in he house. Don’t forget she also got freakin DEVIN to use POV on her when he’s the one who nominated her! Is Victorias strategy effective? Obviously, because she’s still there. But I just don’t think I could ever consider her a bb queen. She was carried by Derrick and floated through. Not my type of gameplay, js.

No, I said her social game saved her the week she couldn’t get off by competition. And it doesn’t matter if she was not the target, she could have gotten evicted numerous times if she didn’t get herself off the block four times. Her lay- low and acting dumb strategy is what kept her from being a target of eviction afterwards. It’s something she said she would do before the season started.

And I never said anything about people shit talking her- I don’t even know why you brought it up?

As for Brittany, you say you want good social game with comp wins and people who aren’t afraid to make big moves but she did none of those things. She was put on the block the first time because Frankie and Caleb thought she was fake, a second time because Devin flat- out didn’t like her, and the third because Cody didn’t like her saying she wasn’t gonna act foolish like all the other girls around them. She was a constant target because of her bad social game.

As for competition wins, again; she only won 1 and that was done with Victoria; Victoria won 3.

As for not being afraid “to go out in a blaze of glory” she wasn’t gonna make big moves either. If she had stayed she would have been another one of Derrick’s minions and play his game just like Cody.

Oops, I had responded to the wrong person lol, that’s why I brought up shit talking. Can’t find the post I was originally responding to. I don’t think Brittany would have been a minion. The theme of this season was people finally wising up to what was going on in the house, then trying to work with Donny, then getting evicted. I just think Victoria played a floating game. As I said before, it worked, but it was boring ass tv. We know that she’s not going to take down any of the boys so it seems dumb to root for her at this point.

So I’ve been binge watching The Office since the end of July and I just finished the finale tonight and now I have allllllllllllllllll the feels. Despite what everyone says about the last season, this show will always have a place in my heart. The biggest error in the last season was the fact that they completed switched the characters’ personalities without any lead up to why they started acting that way (Jim being selfish, Pam being angry and short, Andy being a total dick). At the end of the day, I forgive them.

I started watching this show when I was a sophomore in high school, original air. Facebook wasn’t even opened to high school students, Netflix was send-for only with no streaming, and I stumbled upon it out of pure chance. I watched the episode where Pam figured out Dwight was hooking up with Angela. From then on, I’d search out little cable thing and record any episodes that I didn’t think I had seen yet, and some of them I literally never got to until this past watch. When this series went off the air, I had graduated undergrad and I think I was about to get married. High school to marriage!

I guess I haven’t had a tv show I’ve been connected to in awhile. I was so intent on several shows that all went off the air at seemingly the same time, like House, The Office, Lost, and Desperate Housewives. Since then, I just can’t find any “good” shows even though I watch fall premieres every year.

Sigh… This is random. I know. Here’s to hoping some halfway decent shows air in the next few weeks.
